Major activities of ASM International INDIA CHAPTER
1. Website development www/asm-india.com
Our brand new interactive website was launched and inaugurated by our Past TRUSTEE Shri Pradeep Goyal during our AGM on 06 Feb2021. Our International President Diana Essock was kind enough to send us encouraging message on this occasion which was put on our website during the launch of the website. We can now communicate & share our views, information and knowledge with the help of website more effectively.
2. Measures taken to improve ASM BRAND VALUE & VISIBILITY
We introduced ASM stickers to be put on vehicles of members and stickers for display in their office & use on stationery
3. ISO 0001 CERTIFICATION
Committee chair Mr Prem Aurora & members Mr Sandeep Rege, Mr Rajesh Shah and Mr Daftary are working on this and now it is in its final stage
Final Audit is planned in March 2021. The certification will be able to streamline chapter operations.
4. Newsletter every quarter regularly & Intime : committee Chair Dr Tiwari, Editor Prof Ramakrishnan and active member Dr Vivek Singal deserves compliments
5. Membership Growth
I am happy to share with you that our membership now stands at 250 +. Moreover, we could convert few of our members into sustaining category
Our target upto JUNE is to take the strength to 300+
6. ADVISOR position proposed to get benefit of his experience & wisdom for chapter benefit, Thanks to Mr Prem Aurora for accepting our request to be our CHAPTER ADVISOR.
7. India Chapter was instrumental in forming ASM Kanpur chapter last year. We extended that chapter last year under the chairmanship of Dr Eswara prasad.
8. Educational Program
Prof R C Prasad carried out program with INDIA CHAPTER involvement six day QIP STPP program on Composites fracture toughness NDE and Failure Analysis at PHCET with the involvement of AICTE. Compliments to Prof R C Prasad & looking forward to his support in future endeavors.
We acknowledge the efforts by Dr K. Rajkumar chair education & program for his contributions to the cause of ASM International
9. We are in the planning stage of launching a Master of Science program in MATERIALS SCIENCE under the umbrella of University of MUMBAI.
The duration of the program will be two years after graduation.
10. Material camps at NASHIK & AURANGABAD will now be reviewed under the leadership of seasoned ASMITE Mr Suhas Sabnis and Prof Altekar
11. Our full-fledged STUDENT CHAPTER with 31 students and one faculty advisor will be launched next month at GODAVARI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, JALGAON. All formalities are complete & waiting clearance from OHIO
12. To enlarge our ambit India chapter opted for very useful and prestigious membership

13. I would like to share with you the latest development in the history of our chapter.The Committee under the leadership of Shri Pradeep Goyal decided to acquire spacious & conveniently located premises for ASM India chapter wherein we plan to accommodate Library , fully equipped conference hall along with office space .
This we believe will help to serve the members aspirations and needs in a better way. The possession is expected by 31 March 2021.
14. 04 MET +14HTS 2021
Flagship mega event of ASM INDIA CHAPTER MET + HTS 2021 is scheduled during 29 Sept to 01 Oct at BOMBAY EXHIBITION CENTER. We are receiving very encouraging responses from all the stakeholders with respect to sponsorship & exhibition stall booking.
