Mr Sanjay Kulkarni is Metallurgist from Government Polytechnic, Pune. He has 23 years of experience in various companies like RSB Transmisions, Eicher Engineering Components, Turbo Gears India Pvt Ltd, American Axles and Manufacturing Corporation, etc.. He is now working with Eaton Fluid Power Ltd. He is 6 Sigma Black Belt. He is a member of ASM International.

This lecture will concentrate on Hazards related to Atmosphere Controlled Gas-Fired or Electric Heated furnaces. The hazards due to gas carburising atmosphere will be covered in detail. a. Furnace with Gas Heating, including but not limited to: 1. Direct fired 2. Radiant tube heated 3. Any generated or injected atmosphere b. Any electrically heated furnace with an atmosphere other than air.
